On March 20th 2017, PEaCE conducted a discussion on value based education with several key religious dignitaries. The discussion was held to move forward with developing a training module for value based education in consultation with religious leaders, representatives of religious organizations and key child rights activists.

The discussion was led by Dr. Sunil Wijesiriwardena, a Consultant and a University Lecturer. Dr. Wijesiriwardena guided the participants to understanding the importance of developing such a module, targeting children from the four major religions in Sri Lanka, to ensure that all children understand the significance of life lessons and experiences that are not taught at schools. The discussion was conducted to receive ideas, inputs and comments by the participants on the module that is being developed.
